Contemporary Art Auction
Acclaimed photographer Kate Garner from Bolt Agency and Rosebery's London launch an online auction which aims to raise £350,000 to support the charitable efforts of ‘Elephant Haven’ in establishing Europe’s first elephant sanctuary.
The 51 lot auction will include works donated by Elephant Family, artists and a number of galleries. Pictures in the sale include artwork from illustrator Quentin Blake, sculptor Angela Connor, urban artist Dom Pattinson (donated by Zebra One gallery) and photographer Gitte Meldgaarde – who has donated a photographic print of Dita von Teese. Works from Sir Peter Blake, Paula Rego, Russell Young, Billy Childish, Yoko Ono and Patti Smith are also being offered for sale.
Many of the lots are being sold without reserve and all proceeds from the sale will go directly to Elephant Haven.

It will feature hundreds of original creations in an array of different media by established artists, students and newcomers from all over the world. Hundreds of postcard-sized artworks will be on sale during the exhibition at £15 each, so this is a fantastic chance for budding art collectors to snap up an original work of art at an affordable price.
Once again all participating artists will have the opportunity to exchange their postcard with another artist selected at random at the end of the exhibition. The aim of this remote exchange is to foster new connections and encourage ongoing communication amongst artists from diverse backgrounds and different parts of the world.
Opening Event: Tuesday 14th January, 6 - 8pm. This is a free public event, and there is no need to book in advance.
